Managing Dictionaries and Translations

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to manage dictionaries and translations in User Settings.

Workflow Language Configuration

Advanced Workflow supports multiple languages. The default language is English, but a set of existing system dictionaries contains standard translations of standard system objects.

You can also export and import entire dictionaries for efficient translation management.

The list of dictionaries can be accessed from the Setup screen under AdministrationDictionary.

Dictionaries

You may notice that the system dictionaries cannot be edited. To create new translations for any language, create a new dictionary for that language. You can then open the new dictionary and add or edit translations. To ensure that users don’t select the system dictionary, you can hide the system dictionary from users.

Users can select their preferred dictionary by selecting User Tools à User Settings in the left navigation panel.
