Demonstrating Political Regional Structure

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to identify the elements of political regional structure.

Political Regional Structure

Illustration explaining hierarchical organization of administrative regions, from state to city district, emphasizing location data integration for political and postal structures.
  • In the political regional structure, you model political/administrative units in a hierarchical structure. By means of the address in the postal regional structure, you can allocate elements of the political structure to SAP S/4HANA Utilities master data (to the connection object or business partner, for example).
  • To maintain elements of the political regional structure, you must first define the hierarchy levels you require. Only then can you allocate elements to the hierarchy elements (e.g. allocate the element "New York" to the hierarchy level "City").
This chart represents the hierarchy of political administrative regions in the U.S., showing relationships between states, counties, cities, boroughs, districts, and townships.

Hint

Political elements can only be created using internal numbers.
