How to Use Automated Invoice Settlement
You can use evaluated receipt settlement with supplier invoice jobs.
You can automatically settle goods receipts by scheduling as a background job using the Schedule Supplier Invoice Jobs - Advanced app and choosing the Evaluated Receipt Settlement job template.

In addition to Schedule Supplier Invoice Jobs - Advanced (F1683), you can use the ERS procedure to settle goods receipts automatically, also in the Create Evaluated Receipt Settlement (MRRL) app.
You should use the evaluated receipt settlement only if the supplier's agreements are clear and you have updated the price agreements in the purchase orders in the system. You also need to create goods movements promptly and accurately. Created goods movements can be settled without receiving an invoice. The system can create and post the appropriate invoices itself. Evaluated receipt settlement is especially effective if you create settlement documents periodically.
Enable ERS for Business Partner
You can only select or deselect the Evaluated Receipt Settlement indicator in the purchase order if it was previously set in the supplier master data. To set this, as a master data specialist, use the Maintain Business Partner app to navigate to your supplier’s purchasing data for the respective purchasing organization. You will find the setting Eval. Receipt Settlement under the Additional Purchasing Data section.
You can also set the flag for Evaluated Receipt Settlement using the Manage Business Partner Master Data app, similarly by navigating to your supplier’s purchasing data specific to the respective purchasing organization. You can display all the available flags/settings for the purchasing organization by using the View Settings icon on the table.

Additionally, the following are required for using ERS:
The goods receipt must refer to a purchase order.
Goods-receipt-based Invoice Verification must be defined for the purchase order item.
A tax code must have been maintained in the purchase order item.
The order price of the materials may not be an estimated price.
By setting the flag Automatic Evaluated Receipt Settlement, you can enable evaluated receipt settlement of return items for this supplier or this document item.
If you flag a supplier as subject to ERS, the system sets the ERS indicator as a default in each item when you create a purchase order for the supplier. You can prevent this from happening for certain suppliers for a material by flagging the purchasing info record for the material and the supplier as not being subject to ERS. The ERS indicator is located under Delivery and Quantity→Purchasing Control in the Manage Purchasing Info Records app.

In Purchasing, you can delete the default ERS indicator in a purchase order item.
Purchase Orders using ERS

You can use Evaluated Receipt Settlement (ERS) with the Manage Purchase Orders app.
Using the Manage Purchase Orders app, you can create and manage purchase orders to ensure that you get the ordered items on time, at the correct location, and in the required quantity. As a purchaser, you can manually order materials and services that use Evaluated Receipt Settlement (ERS). You can control whether an invoice will be generated automatically when a valuated goods receipt for ordered materials or services has been posted. To enable this, you create the purchase order using ERS. You enable the Evaluated Receipt Settlement setting on the purchase order item level under the Process Control tab.
Note
Settings on Purchasing Info Record
To use ERS for the invoices based on purchase orders created from purchase requisitions (especially for the automatically created purchase orders), you must set the Goods-receipt-based Invoice Verification flag in the Purchasing Info Record for the supplier material combination. This way, you will ensure that the flag is set for the purchase order item in the purchase order based on the purchase requisition. If the flag is set in the Business Partner master record, it is carried over when creating the Purchasing Info Record for the business partner. Similarly, you maintain the tax code in the Purchasing Info record, which is transferred to the purchase order item of the newly created purchase order. The tax code can still be set later for the purchase requisition item in the Manage Purchase Requisitions - Professional app, which then sets the tax code for the purchase order item of the created purchase order.
The parameters are located under Delivery and Quantity→Purchasing Control and Delivery and Quantity→Delivery Information in the Manage Purchasing Info Records app.
For the same purpose, the Create Purchasing Info Record/Change Purchasing Info Record apps can also be used.

Specify Automatic Settlement of Planned Delivery Costs
You can enable the Automatic Settlement of Planned Delivery Costs during ERS invoice posting by defining the entry for the company code, purchasing organization, and supplier combination. Depending on the way your system is managed, you can access the configuration:
- Using Manage Your Solution by navigating Configure Your Solution→Sourcing and Procurement→Invoice Processing→Incoming Invoice→Specify Automatic Settlement of Planned Delivery Costs: Configure
- Using SAP Central Business Configuration by navigating to the Configuration→Procurement→Invoice Management→Incoming Invoice→Specify Automatic Settlement of Planned Delivery Costs.

Once you activate this for the supplier, you can create automatic delivery cost settlements using the Create Automatic Delivery Cost Settlement app or by scheduling the background job.
Applying Settings for Automation using Manage Business Partner Master Data
To flag or clear the required settings on the Business Partner master data, navigate to Roles→Supplier→Purchasing Organization in the Manage Business Partner Master Data app, select View Settings on the table (the small icon in the upper-right corner), and select the required settings. Once the settings are displayed in the table, you can flag or clear them.

Applying Settings for Automation using Maintain Business Partner
To flag or clear the required settings on the Business Partner master data, navigate to Supplier→Purchasing→Purchasing Data in the Maintain Business Partner app. You can clear or flag the required settings in the Control Data, Additional Purchasing Data, and Additional Control Data sections, respectively.
