Analyzing Costs from Final Confirmation to a Process Order

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to analyze costs from final confirmation to a process order

Final Activity Confirmation

This figures outlines the final goods receipt to a process order.

The final confirmation marks the completion of production, right before all co-products are delivered to stock. Upon final activity confirmation, additional production costs are posted to the process order header, which are then automatically distributed among the order items based on the defined apportionment structure. The order status remains Partially Delivered (PDLV) until all co-products have been received into stock. In the next demo and exercise, you will have the opportunity to perform the final confirmation.

Note

You will perform the final confirmation to the process order in the next lesson in combination with the final goods receipt.

Summary

  • Final confirmation marks production completion and posts additional costs to the process order header.
  • Costs are automatically distributed among order items based on the apportionment structure.
