The Data Options section includes these main properties:

| Refresh on open | Refreshes the document with the latest data from the database each time you open it. When this option is on, data tracking does not show the difference between data before and after the refresh. All data after the refresh is treated as new because the refresh removes the old data. |
| Apply security filtering on open | Applies security settings to the data when you open the document, without needing to refresh it. This option is only available for documents created on a relational UNX universe with Business Security Profiles. |
