Segments are expenses that are typically part of a travel reservation and can be booked in Concur Travel, your TMC, or outside of the SAP Concur environment. Common examples include Air Ticket, Railway Ticket, Car Rental, and Hotel Reservation. The names can be changed based on your configuration.

After completing this lesson, you will be able to add segments to an existing request in Concur Standard Request.
What Are Segments?
Adding Segments to a Request
You need to provide an estimate for your upcoming flight to Chicago. You already have the request created in the previous unit open.
Steps
Start adding a segment.

Select the Add button in the Expected Expenses area.
Select an expense type.

Search for and select the appropriate Expense Type. In this case, choose Air Ticket.
Note
The list of expenses will vary based on your configuration.Provide the details.

- Complete the necessary fields. Scroll down if necessary to make sure all fields are populated.
- Select the Save button.
Note
- Many fields may be auto populated based on previously entered information.
- Because this information is part of a Segment, it may be used later by you or the travel agent to book the flight.
Result

The segment is added. Repeat this process as necessary to add all the required segments to your request.
