SAP LeanIX features to showcase your findings

After you have gained your insights with the help of the SAP LeanIX reports, you should share them with the your stakeholders.

For example you want to present the overall application landscape in the next architecture meeting with senior leadership and decide to show the application landscape report with view on lifecycle data of applications.

E.g. with SAP LeanIX presentations, you can create your presentation directly in SAP LeanIX without having to export the data to external presentation tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint.

1. See what ways we have to present findings within the reports tab

3. Tips for presenting your results

Depending on which interest group you want to present your results to, we recommend the following tips:

  • High-Level

E.g. Leadership does not need details, but must be able to access high-level key insights. Information here should therefore be condensed and focused.

For example, use SAP LeanIX presentations or create a dashboard with several fact sheet charts that acts as a kind of cockpit.

Follow our documentation to learn how to create a custom dashboard:

This section will introduce you to our Dashboard, which helps you to get fast and easy access to current to-do's and your most important enterprise architecture charts.

For further guidance, you can refer to our documentation:

  • Mid-Level

Reports, diagrams, dashboards, the inventory and presentations should all be considered. Depending on the question, one or the other is better. Presentations or dashboards can be used when insights are distributed (e.g. across several reports). Most display types allow to go into more depth if necessary, e.g. to jump to a specific fact sheet.

    Diagrams

Overview SAP LeanIX Enterprise Architecture application was built to be the single source of truth for enterprise architecture Management, bringing transparency of IT landscapes to all contributors and democratizing architecture knowledge.

  • Specific

It is helpful to formulate very specific questions that you and your stakeholders want answered.

For example, "How many business-critical applications do I have that use expiring IT Components?"

To answer this question, a filtered Application Landscape Report or a Pie Chart on a presentations or a dashboard that can be displayed directly from SAP LeanIX during the alignment meeting will help.

    Reports

Reports are a powerful tool for visualizing data, generating insights, and making informed decisions. Reports provide a comprehensive view of an organization's architectural landscape, enabling users to analyze and present critical information, such as application portfolios, technology stacks, dependencies, and more.
