
More and more customers operate the so-called hybrid landscapes, where cloud applications are managed together with the classic on-premise solutions. While integrating on-premise application to SAP BW/4HANA leverages some well-known and established interfaces, it is more challenging to connect to a cloud application. This lesson provides a quick summary of the recommended connectivity options for SAP Cloud offerings. In addition, the write interface of DataStore objects (advanced) is introduced as a more generic approach for cloud-based applications in general.
Both SAP cloud applications can leverage ABAP Core Data Services and the ODP Framework to provision data to SAP BW/4HANA. The major customizing activities required are as follows:
