The SAP Service and Asset Manager 2205 supports three personas:
Maintenance Technician
Field Service Technician
Inventory Clerk
In the past, the Extension components were separately delivered. However, with release SAP Service and Asset Manager 2205 the Extensions components are merged into the base app which indicates shift in the strategy from component to persona-based model. Each standard persona is designed with optimized user experience, data model, and performance improvement. A user can be assigned multiple personas at the same time, and switch between personas easily through application profile persona toggle from the device.
New licensing model based on Full Use Equivalent (FUE) Usage Type. Standard SAP persona can be classified as either Professional Persona (1 FUE) or Standard Persona (0.5 FUE). Standard SAP Service and Asset Manager is delivered with base application, and extra extension components. The base application is available in the App Store. Extension components are available in the SAP Support software download site.

Maintenance Technician Persona
SAP Service and Asset Manager supports maintenance technicians who maintain enterprise assets to perform their job with complex information and business logic that is always available whether they are connected to the network or working in offline environments. Field Service Technician Persona
Field Service Technician Persona enables technician to work on equipment installed at the customer site. The product enables technicians to process services orders, including recording mileage, expenses, and eventually generating a Field Service Report.

Inventory Clerk Persona
The Inventory Clerk Persona enables a storeroom operator to receive, issue, or transfer stock. It also supports issue and receipt of Batch Managed, Serialized, and Valuated Materials. It supports Inventory Management process of both SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC back ends.
