SAP Analytics Cloud is a Software as a Service (SaaS) analytics platform that provides analytics capabilities in a cloud native product.
From the very start of the course, you will take on the role of an SAP Analytics Cloud administrator. You will need to learn about, and perform, the required tasks to secure the content in your SAP Analytics Cloud system. The lessons in this course all use the same business scenario for its examples, videos, and exercises.
The Business Scenario
You are an administrator responsible for the security and administration of The Mock Company's SAP Analytics Cloud system.
The Mock Company operates in two regions:
- North America
- Overseas
It has Human Resources and Finance units, as well as management teams, business users, and analysts located in both regions
They plan to use SAP Analytics Cloud as follows:
- The HR team will use SAP Analytics Cloud for its analytics capabilities to build HR stories. The team also plans to use Smart Predict and Analytics Designer features of the product.
- The Finance team will use SAP Analytics Cloud for analytics and financial planning.
The teams should only have visibility to the folders, stories, and models that are relevant for their departments.
The HR and Finance units each have global managers who have access to see data for all regions for their respective divisions and regional managers who should only see data pertaining to their regions and their respective divisions.
