Let’s start by understanding the access information provided in the "Welcome E-mail". The account administrator will receive this e-mail after SAP IPD is available for the account.

This e-mail will include the following information:

- Welcome and Introduction

- System URL

- Activation and Initial Setup

- Customer Influence

Welcome and Introduction:

This section confirms that the SAP Integrated Product Development Production tenant system’s Data Center is now set up and ready to be configured for use and contains details about how to access your SAP BTP global account. Your SAP BTP credentials (username and password) are sent to you separately. You can also view the "Onboarding and Overview Session" via the link provided.

System URL:

To set up your SAP Integrated Product Development tenant, you have to subscribe to SAP Integrated Product Development from an existing or new subaccount. Using the system URL, you can log on to your Production Tenant system with your username and password.

Activation and Initial Setup:

To create a fully functional tenant, you need to subscribe to the Individual SAP Integrated Product Development SaaS applications you want to use. In order to do this, the following steps are necessary:

  1. Configure entitlement for your subaccount and subscribe to the SAP Integrated Product Development applications.
  2. Setup Trust, Users & Role Collection according to Managing Users with the Identity Authentication Service.
  3. Setup Connectivity Configurations.
  4. Setup Entry Point for App Access.
  5. Setup Business Configurations.

Overview

  1. Create a subaccount.
  2. Enable Cloud Foundry.
  3. Assign entitlements.
  4. Subscribe to applications.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Create a Subaccount
    1. Navigate to Account Explorer in the SAP BTP Cockpit.
    2. Under Create, Click "Subaccount".Under “Create”, Click “Subaccount”.
    3. Enter the account details. Note that you can leave the subdomain as default unless you prefer a shorter one (once it's set, it cannot be changed later).Enter the account details.     4. Click "Create".
  2. Enable Cloud Foundry
    1. Navigate to the subaccount that was created in step 1.
    2. Click the "Enable Cloud Foundry" option.Click the Enable Cloud Foundry option.

  3. Assign Entitlements
    1. Go to Entitlements on the left sidebar.
    2. Click "Edit".
    3. Assign Entitlements for Collaboration:
      1. Select "Add Service Plans" and search for Collaboration.Select “Add Service Plans and search for “Collaboration”.
      2. Select "production (Application)" and click "Add 1 Service Plan".Select “production (Application)” and click “Add 1 Service Plan”.
    4. Assign Entitlements for Enterprise Product Structure:
      1. Select "Add Service Plans" and search for Enterprise Product Structure.

      3. Click "Save".Click Save.
  4. Subscribe to Applications
    1. Subscribe to Collaboration:
      1. Navigate to Services and then Service Marketplace.
      2. Select "Collaboration".Select “Collaboration.
      3. Click "Create".Click “Create”.
      4. Under Service, select "Collaboration".
      5. Under Plan, select "production".
      6. Click "Create". Click “Create”.
      7. Click "Close". Click “Close”.
    2. Subscribe to Enterprise Product Structure:
      1. Select "Enterprise Product Structure".
      2. Click "Create".Click “Create”.
      3. Under Service, select "Collaboration".
      4. Under Plan, select "production".
      5. Click "Create".Click “Create” .
    3. Click "View Subscription" to check the processing status of both applications.
    4. Wait until both applications are available.Wait until both applications are available.
