| Mandatory attributes Mandatory attributes are essential attributes that users must fill out to maintain data integrity and quality standards in a fact sheet. Admins can define which attributes are mandatory for each fact sheet type to ensure essential information is consistently collected. These mandatory attributes can include fields, relations, tag groups, subscription roles, and types, which fact sheet owners should later on fill out. | Mandatory fields, pre-defined by admins, can be seen in the sidebar![]() |
Note
This section focuses, in particular, on filing the fact sheet type of application. Other fact sheet types follow the same logic but may have different attributes and details to it.
| Understanding the application fact sheet Applications are software systems that process or analyze business data to support tasks and processes within an organization's business model. Enterprise architecture management aims to align business and IT strategies, with applications playing a crucial role in achieving business objectives. | Application fact sheet and its relations to fact sheets![]() |
- Applications are designed to perform specific functions or tasks. These functions can vary widely depending on the organization's needs.
- Applications generate and consume data and rely on IT components (software, hardware, services) to function.
- SAP LeanIX's meta model is application-centric, linking business and IT.
For application fact sheets, mandatory attributes could include name, description, lifecycle, relations, business capabilities, organizations using the application, business criticality (how critical the application is for your organization), functional fit (how well it meets the business requirements), technical fit (are there technical replacement services needed), and underlying IT components.
