So we do have some slides, which basically even talks about configuration of, you know, these three characteristics, because sometimes it can get a little tricky. But, yeah, it just needs some steps on each side logistics and financial so that these integration is seamless and error-free. Okay. So this says at the end of this document, you would be basically know the setting up of the pre-characteristics and financial documents and setting up free characters and logistics documents and how you can add to dictionary structures. It gets slightly a little bit technical in that sense, but nothing not too technically, I guess. Okay. So as I was saying, for financial documents, if there is a concept of MRA or market risk analyzer, within that, you basically have to define an analysis structure. So just an understanding of analysis structure, it gives you an ability to add more parameters to your trade. It could be anything, right? similar to the book structure what we were talking about in tragedy and risk management or in corporate finance world you could have different parameters as well right but like if I mean I don't want to go into much detail but it's the similar concept of book structure and is required would be used for either your evaluation of your positions or reporting as well so within this analysis structure you would create characteristics So this functionality was, it does exist before the introduction of free characteristics, but that's how, I mean, you will have to map pre characteristics and financial trades as well. So you define an analysis characteristic and you can have it as a value defined as of your own or you can provide a link to a table and then you can have a derivation strategy. So for example, if you're doing a trade with certain type of product or certain type of commodity, you can set up a rule saying, hey, whenever this attributes are met, this particular parameter, needs to be mapped in the trade. So these type of rules are also available into treasury and risk management for financial derivatives. We'll talk about that in a few slides. So this is how, I mean, free characteristics is created on the financial side. And of course, we will talk a little bit of more subsequently as well. There's nothing much in this screen here. What you basically do is give a name, a technical ID, and a description with short, text, and all that. You can also give data type and length. So right now, this supports up to 30 character six. So up to 30 should be fine. and the system would just, you know, take all those values, what you input. You can even provide while during the definition of this, whether you need to have, like, for example, this is a standard data element which we have used, right? So DCSID, if you want to see a DCSID for a trade, so this is the standard data element which links to the standard check table. So every time you try to select within the trade, it will give. give you the F4 list of all the DCs IDs. So that's how you give an existing check table, or if you have a Z table, you can give that. So once you have created your character itself, then you define an analysis structure. I mean, this might be slightly off topic for participants who are not aware of treasury and this management, but this is somewhat independent of the whole treasury management. So that's why these topics are included and it's crucial while setting up the pre-characteristics for financial derivatives. So you basically give a name. And once you click hit create, it will bring up this view. And it will, the system actually deliver some standard characteristics as well. Like, for example, product type or product category and you know contract type and all that so which you might not need but you know the system delivers that and then the new characteristics which you just created right for example in earlier screen we saw this DCS ID so a characteristic for the DCS might pop up here or the screen did not probably capture but let's say the strategy was something which you created so you basically choose all the character which you want to be part of your analysis structure, which is important for your risk reporting for your financial trade. And then once you assign those and you basically activate and jump. And since this is a config item, so this gets transported to all your systems as well. So that is on the financial side. I mean, this is how you create book structure or a free characteristics for your book structures. So these are some examples of, you know, a few characters be created and you don't need to always have a check table. So this example shows here that you could provide a characteristic which you can just enter them yourselves. Like, for example, this is a strategy. So I select the strategy, this particular thing, and then the next view basically will allow me to enter my own information. If you don't have a Z table or anything like that, then this comes into handy that you can add your own values here and that would be available then on your financial documents. So I was talking about derivation strategy. So basically there are some additional steps. for financial traits, you would have to perform. Once you define your analysis structure, you provide derivation strategy, basically, as I was saying, you can provide rules. And I think people who are familiar with derivation rules from FICO side, they would understand the screen. It's pretty much similar to that. And, you know, but the derivation rules basically, dictate what default values need to be captured or passed on to a trade which satisfy certain criteria, right? So this is how you do that. And then you also have to activate the financial object integration, which basically says all these parameters are activated for the financial trades. If you don't activate it, even though you completed your analysis structure and everything, it will still not show up in your financial trade. So the activation is very crucial. It is similar to how you activate your CPE, right? So same architecture. And then based on each, you can even write your derivation rules, basically, for each type of product, right? For futures, you can have different derivations for options. It can be different. It can be even based on a D.C.S .ID or you know, anything like that. So there are standard set-off attributes based on which you can use these default values or derivation rules, but we also provide several bodies. Yeah, the next screen, now we will go into more logistic side, how these are set up. And then, you know, probably our question will be more clear now. So similar to what we saw on the financial side, right? So you would define characteristics using the T-code CT-0-4, which is we would define to create classification in the system. So you basically create a characteristics here. There's the same screen what you saw on the financial side as well. you provide a description what kind of data type it is number of characters and all that all that information and then in the next screen here using the CL02 which is configuring your class types or class you give this CMM underscore Vicar that that is how the system knows that all these characteristics which you create would need to be appended to the risk management tables which which I will talk through the next subsequent screens. Similarly, you create all the characteristics you want using Zt04 and use then CL02 and the class type 059, which is specifically for commodity management, free characteristics usage. And then you assign all those characteristics here. And, you know, this is, although this is, like the first time activity you would do but every time let's say a couple of months down the line in the project you want to create one more you can still go ahead follow the same process and assign it here and do the subsequent steps okay so basically this is the next step where now that you have the class and the characteristics created now you would also let the system know, hey, this is for which standard MMSD tables, I would need this to be, you know, implemented or captured or the structures needs to be enhanced. So in this case, you would have to for purchasing, you need EKPO and for sales, it's VABAP. So these needs to be just assigned here. So you just provide, like, for example, the object is VABAP. here and once as soon as you give the class all the characteristics within that class will be shown allocated here so that is the next step you would do and we have certain body implementations also if you have any customer specific needs you would want to do so those kinds of scenarios or processes that also can be captured so the next step is basically a little bit technical in nature although It looks simple, but you would need some kind of ABAP help as well when it comes to, you know, appending these characteristics to your standard EKPO, VAB or even the financial side of it. So SAP has provided a standard report. What it does basically, you have to give the same class like the CMMB car, what you saw for definition and give a package this package is obviously your about package where you would store all your developments so you as soon as you need to generate this and every time you generate what it does is it appends all those tables apart from the risk management tables which I would also come to that so all those tables are appended with the free character stakes which you just created. For example, in our example, we had assigned portfolio and strategy. So all those, all the portfolio and strategy will be appended to EKPO, VABAP, and the risk management tables of CM logistics, right, which again, I will drop through. And similarly on the financial side. So, and since these are, you know, all, all the D-DIC structures will be enhanced. So you might face some constraints or authorization issues if you as a functional consultant are trying to generate this report. So it is always advised that a technical consultant does this particular step. So the system, you don't have to create any structures or append manually. This program will do that for you. And it will do automatically for, financial and physical side together so you don't have to do any separate activities it will also generate a log basically what it has done which structures it has enhanced and what kind of pre-characteristics it has appended to all those structures and you can even log you can even navigate to those extensions from the log
