Transferring Goals between Users

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to transfer a goal between users.

Goal Transfer between Users

As an administrator, you may transfer an existing goal from one user to another. For example, if one person leaves a team and a new person joins, you may want to transfer goals from the person leaving to the one coming in to take their place.

This screenshot shows the Goal Transfer screen.

This goal transfer feature will transfer the goals from one person to another. The goals would be associated with the same goal template as the one from which they had been transferred. For example, transferring a goal from one employee’s Goal Plan will place it on the new employee’s Goal Plan. Once the goal is transferred from one employee to another, the previous goal owner will no longer see it in their plan.

The Goal Transfer can be enabled within Manage Permission RolesAdministrator PermissionsManage UserGoal Transfer.

This screenshot shows the Manage User permission settings and highlights the Goal Transfer permission.

Caution

IMPORTANT: The Transfer Goal Between Users admin tool respects Role-Based Permissions for transferring one user’s goals to another. You will only be able to transfer goals between users who are in your Target Population.
