The Home Page of SAP SuccessFactors

The Home Page

The Home Page is the default landing page for the HCM suite. If a user wants to change the default landing page, they can find other landing pages under the Name MenuSettingsStart Page . The Home Page shows employees their pending tasks, highlights recent activity, and helps them act quickly. Home Page works well when it brings actions closer to the employee or manager.

Structure of the Home Page

The Home Page consists of 3 parts:

  • Action Toolbar
  • Greeting Area
  • Cards
This screen shows the different structural components of the Home Page.

Home Page – Action Toolbar

Action Toolbar

The Action Toolbar displays Quick Actions for common actions. This allows a quick access to personal lists, favorites, and reminders without leaving the Home Page.

This screenshot shows the 'Action Toolbar' section on the Home Page.

Home Page – Cards

Cards

Cards are shown in different sections e.g.

  • "Needs Attention": for time sensitive tasks and communications
  • "Organizational Updates": for latest news and updates from across the organization

In the additional section "Explore More" to discover resources within the company there are two more card types:

  • Banner Cards = are larger and more appealing cards
  • Analytic Cards = show diagrams and other data visualizing (according to Story Reports, system given)

Cards can be given by default or created by the customer. It is also possible for the user to personalize the Home Page, when enabled in Company System and Logo Settings.

This screenshot shows a Card under the 'Organizational Updates' section on the Home Page.
