Digital badges - General FAQ

1

What type of badges are available on SAP Learning?

On the SAP Learning site, you can get four different types of badges:
  • Course completion badges (pilot mode): Course completion badges are based on answering easy engagement questions. Badges are issued through SAP's badge engine and accessible through the my learning activity on learning.sap.com.
  • Knowledge badges (pilot mode): A knowledge badge is based on passing a standalone assessment which is validating the knowledge of a Learning Journey. Badges are issued through SAPs own badge baking engine and are accessible through the my learning activity on learning.sap.com.
  • Record of Achievement: A record of achievement is a validation of your learning success on the SAP Learning site. You can earn a digital record of achievement badge by successfully completing all the quizzes in an SAP Learning Journey. The digital badge is issued by Credly on behalf of SAP. Please note: Record of achievements will be replaced over time with knowledge badges. This does not affect badges that have been earned already.
  • SAP Certification badges: can be earned by passing a proctored SAP Certification exam. This badge is issued on Credly.

Why do I receive the digital badge email from Credly?

You successfully participated in a learning offering or engaged in a program that grants its participants a digital badge.
SAP is using Credly as a subprocessor to issue and manage its badges, as described in the privacy statement.

If I leave my company, can I take my digital badges with me?

Digital badges are transferable like any credentials and employment records verified by the employer. Transferability of a digital badge does not remove the right to expire or revoke a badge if the conditions for the badge issuing are no longer valid. SAP highly recommends that you set up a SAP Universal ID to facilitate the transition of your data from one employer to another.
