Integrating SAP Sustainability Control Tower with SAP Systems

Integrate your SAP S/4HANA on-premise system and SAP S/4HANA Cloud with SAP Sustainability Control Tower to replicate your data. Use the app Manage ESG Data to import your data.

The prerequisites for setting up a technical user for SAP S/4HANA on premise are:

• You have an administration user for your cloud connector installation.
• You have the role of Security Administrator for your SAP BTP subaccount.

The views used to import data from SAP Datasphere correspond to the Data Provider Interfaces (DPIs) used in SAP Sustainability Control Tower. DPIs structure the data into different categories. They are mapped from SAP Datasphere (in which the data is stored) to SAP Sustainability Control Tower, allowing you to upload 20 custom dimensions for all available DPIs, labeled Custom 1 to Custom 20.

When working with the views, ensure the following:

• Avoid renaming or removing the EntitySet Name, EntityType, or for the DPIs, Emission, Injury, EntityType Name.
• Avoid removing fields from views.
• Keep the type of an existing field intact.
• Ensure the character length of fields remains within the given limit.
• Avoid adding annotations for fields with restricted read capability.
• Keep the name of the service intact.
• Avoid changing the field control type. For example, if it's set as Mandatory, ensure that it remains as mandatory.
• Avoid removing attributes of properties.

The prerequisites are:

• You have administrator rights in SAP Datasphere.
• You have imported SAP Sustainability Control Tower artifacts into SAP Datasphere from the Content Network.

Integrate with SAP EHS Management, environment management to import activity data for tracking greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions into SAP Sustainability Control Tower.

With the integration of SAP EHS Management, environment management, you can:

• Import your recorded GHG emissions from the SAP EHS Management system.
• Associate your activity data with GHG scopes and sub-categories based on predefined classifiers.
• Assign emission data to business locations in SAP Sustainability Control Tower.
• Analyze emission data in the View Emission Dashboard app.
• Set and track your emission goals in the Our Ambitions app.

Integrate with SAP Sustainability Footprint Management to communicate the GHG emission data calculated at the corporate level.

• Configure the destination in your SAP BTP subaccount for SAP Sustainability Control Tower with the URL and credentials from the SAP Sustainability Footprint Management service instance.

Integrate SAP Analytics Cloud with SAP Sustainability Control Tower for real-time data access and dynamic visualization. This integration supports measures using data provider interfaces (DPIs) and standard custom metrics.

With the integration of SAP Analytics Cloud, you can:

• Establish live connections to your SAP Sustainability Control Tower tenants, enabling real-time access to your data without the need for data replication or manual updates.
• Craft personalized stories within the SAP Analytics Cloud application, allowing for dynamic data visualization and in-depth analysis tailored to your specific business needs and insights.
