This streamlined process allows for quick creation, approval, and execution of maintenance orders to minimize asset downtime and operational disruptions. The simplified workflow ensures that critical issues are addressed promptly by bypassing complex planning stages, enabling a faster response and resolution. This process is ideal for handling emergencies efficiently, maintaining operational continuity, and ensuring the safety and reliability of equipment.

Introducing Emergency Maintenance (Simplified Process) in SAP S/4HANA

In this live session, you will learn how the end-to-end maintenance process in SAP S/4HANA is structured into nine distinct phases, each representing a step in the maintenance workflow. These phases—Initiation, Screening, Planning, Approval, Preparation, Scheduling, Execution, Post Execution, and Completion—guide maintenance requests and orders through a clearly defined path, whether they are for reactive, proactive, or other types of maintenance. Each phase may contain sub-phases, offering a more detailed view of the process and ensuring precise tracking of the order's progress. The system automatically determines and updates the phases and sub-phases as maintenance notifications and orders move through the workflow, providing a comprehensive and transparent view of the maintenance process.

In this live session, we will explore how "Manage Maintenance Planning Buckets" in SAP S/4HANA Cloud helps users organize and manage maintenance backlogs through structured planning buckets. This tool enables the creation of both operational maintenance planning buckets for recurrent, scheduled tasks, and event-based maintenance planning buckets for large, one-time maintenance events. Users can define each planning bucket with a specific scope, including timeframes, planning plants, and work centres, which helps in efficiently grouping and managing related maintenance orders. Operational buckets are automatically generated based on set recurrence details, while event-based buckets allow manual assignment for consolidated maintenance events, enhancing planning efficiency and execution.

Managing Maintenance Planning Buckets in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

This live session will explore how Artificial Intelligence can positively influence Asset Management in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, to achieve the best performance in asset intensive industries and to reduce costs.
