Extending SAP Solutions with SAP BTP, Kyma Runtime

You have heard of SAP BTP, Kyma Runtime and its additional features. You now want to explore how you can use these features to extend SAP Solutions.

Having introduced the core components of Kubernetes and project "Kyma" in the previous lessons, we are now covering how you can use these components specifically to extend SAP Solutions.

Based on which model or programming language you want to use, SAP BTP offers you always the best option. The ABAP Environment on SAP BTP only supports ABAP extensions. The Cloud Foundry Runtime offers more flexibility compared to the ABAP Environment, since it is not restricted to the ABAP language. But it is still limited to the Cloud Foundry ecosystem and does not come along with the same set of features as the SAP BTP, Kyma runtime, which is building up on Kubernetes' huge cloud native ecosystem.

With SAP BTP, Kyma Runtime, SAP BTP customers get a third runtime to deploy workloads, consume other SAP BTP services, and run highly-scalable containerized microservices.
