Welcome to the world of SAP Global Trade Services. The GTS 100 Overview course is aimed at participants with no previous knowledge who are interested in gaining an overview of SAP Global Trade Services. The configuration portion of selected application areas is covered in the course GTS 200, titled Configuring SAP Global Trade Services. The GTS 100 course content will introduce you to the legal background of the application areas, an overview of technical basics and master data, classification of dual-use items, and customs tariff numbers. The import processes and export processes for customs procedures and communication with authorities is also covered. Plus, preference determination and supplier's declaration management, sanction party list screening, and interest stat declarations. This course will prepare project team members and consultants to be able to understand the benefit and the structure of SAP Global Trade Services and use compliance management, customs management, preference management, and the functions for interest at declarations. If your goal is to run worldwide compliance from a single platform and accelerate your cross-border supply chain by automating and streamlining trade processes, you can integrate SAP GTS across your enterprise, from sales to procurement, logistics, finance, and legal. This live session will introduce you to Preference Management in SAP GTS, edition for SAP HANA. It will focus on the mapping of preferential agreements and on preference determination based on their rules of origin. It will also cover the use of supplier’s declarations in Preference Management in the EU.

The European Commission has defined codes for various documents and declarations relating to tariffs, prohibitions and restrictions, and other measures. These codes have to be specified in customs declarations, where applicable. This live session will present different options for the determination of the appropriate code or codes in customs declarations in SAP GTS.
