Dangerous Goods for a Product
Before a product is transported, the product steward specialist assigns compliance purposes to the product, which specify which dangerous goods regulations are relevant.
The dangerous goods specialist is responsible for assessing the product.
If the product is a dangerous good, the specialist classifies it according to the applicable dangerous goods regulations and determine whether the transport of this product is allowed in a certain country/region by the certain mode of transport.
During the classification process, the system generates the dangerous goods description with rules that are specified in each dangerous goods regulation. This description can be printed on documents, such as sales order confirmations and delivery notes.
The following video shows how these users work together to assess a dangerous good.
