Introduction: Substance Volume Tracking
With this process a tracking of confirmed substance volumes from purchasing, manufacturing, and sales is possible.
Substance volume tracking helps you comply with chemical regulations. These regulations require you to track and monitor the volumes of regulated substances that you import to, produce, or export.
Substance volume tracking is integrated with the logistic processes.
Task 1: Create Purchase Request
Before the first task can start, a lot of predefinitions have to be done. Please check out the exercise for further information.
This first processshows a process based on a process order. Therefore Purchaser Claire creates initially a purchase requisition.
Task 2: Scenario I: Create Purchase Order based on a requisition
Inside this task Purchaser Claire converts the purchase requisition into a purchase order.
Task 3: Scenario I: Post goods receipt for purchase order
Warehouse Clerk Jim post goods receipts for the purchase order.
Task 4-6: Scenario II: Process Order maintenance
The second process shows a process order scenario.
First, our Production Planner Nikhil creates a process order.
Warehouse Clerk Jim posts the goods receipt.
Production Operator Kathy confirms the data and Jim finally posts goods receipt for the process order.
Task 7: Scenario III: Create a sales order
The third process starts with the creation of a sales order, done by Kate, our internal sales representative.
Task 8: Scenario III: Market assessment
When there is a block on the sales order under Product Marketability Status, Product Stewardship Specialist- Otto adds a market assessment for the product, so that the product can be sold.
Task 9-10: Scenario III: Create deliveries and post goods issues
First the shipping specialist Marc creates an outbound delivery.
Second, Goods Issues are posted by Marc.
Finally Marc posts Gl data.
Task11: Scenario III: Track substance volumes
This process shows how Master Data Specialist - Jasmine monitors the substance volumes that are calculated from the periodic tracking.
