As administrator, you can track and analyze performance metrics for your SAP Analytics Cloud system. For example, you can compare the cost of different models and stories, and how they impact the overall service performance. This video is an introduction to the tracking tools available in SAP Analytics Cloud. We'll show you some scenarios where the tracking tools are used to analyze SAP Analytics Cloud performance. In the Measurement Tool, you can use Run Client Test to benchmark your client hardware and Run Network Test to measure the latency and bandwidth between your client and your SAP Analytics Cloud tenant. If a user reports that stories are taking a long time to load, then you can investigate the complaint using the Performance Analysis Tool. To get a more detailed report, choose a line from the overview list and click on the relevant tab. For example, Page Load Time, Widget Drilldown, or Runtime Distribution. There are also a number of tools that you can use to track system performance. As with the monitoring tools, many of the tracking tools are also found in the System Overview application. For example, while there are many monitoring tiles on this page, you can also see tracking information such as version size for both public and private versions. From the System Overview, you can access many of the tracking tools such as Performance Statistics, Data Action Statistics, Data Management Job Statistics and Analysis. In Performance Statistics and Analysis, you can get information on both frontend and backend performance KPIs. On the Overview page, you will analyze the system usage with some SAP Analytics Cloud Performance KPIs, such as User, Frontend, Network, Backend and Query Execution KPIs. On the Network page, you will analyze the history of median network time as well as the top 10 users by Median Network Time. On the Frontend page, you will analyze the relation between login count, median logon duration and open resource duration. For example, you will see the number of logon and median logon duration, and the users per highest median logon duration. On the Backend page, you will analyze the average query runtime in relation to query count. For instance, you will see the top model and stories combinations and the average query runtime history. In Data Action Statistics tool, you can get an overview of the data actions, including the number of total data action executions. On the Statistics page, you can detect patterns and trends the execution history and analyze single data actions that have been triggered. To get an overview of jobs that have been scheduled in your tenant, you go to the Data Management Job Statistics and Analysis Page. For example, if you need to identify housekeeping potential, long runners and erroneous instances, you can find it in the Overview section. If you need to learn more about job instances and maximum duration per date, as well as data management job statistics, you must switch to the Job Analysis section. In the Trace tab, you can check the log of recorded messages both on the backend side and on the client side, including warning and error messages. As with the monitoring tools, we recommend taking the time to open the System Overview application and exploring the tracking and performance tools.
