Asset Management and the Importance of Maintainability in the Asset Life Cycle

Overview
This session will cover the topic of Maintainability as a function of Plant/Equipment design during the early stages of the Asset Life Cycle. The instructor will focus on the direct influence Maintainability has on the plant/equipment down time and ultimately the Mean Time To Repair. (MTTR). This session will use prepared content to explain on a deeper level how the learner’s direct input during the Specification and Design Phase can lead to a lower MTTR of the Plant or Equipment. The focus on Maintainability as a function of design during the early stages of the Asset Life Cycle will result in reduced maintenance effort, lower MTTR and a corresponding reduction in maintenance costs. The end result is longer production runs and overall equipment efficiency.
Learning objectives
After participating in this live session, you will understand how addressing maintainability early during the Specification and Design Phase impacts the whole Asset Life Cycle.
