Call To Action: New Functional Area Restriction Type Requires Adaption of Business Roles

*The new Functional Area restriction type has been available in several business catalogs as of SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2302 and must be configured now before it will be activated in the system with SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2402 in February 2024.
*Affected business roles using the new Functional Area Restriction Type cannot be maintained automatically or using a single switch by SAP but need to be set up by customers themselves to ensure that business apps can be used properly.
*If for a business role the access categories are set to unrestricted before the upgrade to CE 2402, customers do not need to adapt this business role as the access categories are not changed by the upgrade.
