How to read your SAP Certification score report
Fnd an explanation of an SAP Certification exam score report and learn how the score is calculated.
Example score report
You will see the exam code under "Assessment name" and the exam title under "Assessment description". The assessment outcome feedback displays all topics of the exam and the percentage you have scored in each of them.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Topics may have unequal weights (which you can check under the certification details in the SAP Training Shop), so the overall score cannot be calculated using an unweighted arithmetic mean.
Case 1 | Equal topic weights
Topic A: 10 questions | 50%: 5 answered correctly |
Topic B: 10 questions | 70%: 7 answered correctly |
Mean of topic scores | 60% |
Assessment result | 12/20 = 60% |
In this case, since there are equal topic weights and therefore the same number of questions per topic area, the assessment result would be the same as the mean topic result.
Case 2a | Unequal weight topics, overall test score is larger than the average topic scores
Topic A: 6 questions | 50%: 3 answered correctlyy |
Topic B: 14 questions | 71.4%: 10 answered correctly |
Mean of topic scores | 60.7% |
Assessment result | 13/20 = 65% |
Since in this case, there are 6 questions for topic A and 14 for topic B, it would not be correct to simply calculate the mean of the topic scores.
Case 2b | Unequal weight topics, overall test score is smaller than the average topic scores
Topic A: 6 questions | 100%: 6 answered correctly |
Topic B: 14 questions | 42.9%: 6 answered correctly |
Mean of topic scores | 71.45% |
Assessment result | 12/20 = 60% |
Since in this case, there are 6 questions for topic A and 14 for topic B, it would not be correct to simply calculate the mean of the topic scores.
