Conditions in project templates allow you to create project items, such as documents, that are only available to users under specific circumstances. When users create projects based on templates with conditions, they see different project items based on the information they specify.
Conditions in SAP Ariba workspaces follow the same rules independently of the type of workspace you create. For example, the way you create a condition in a sourcing project template is the same way you create it in a contract workspace template.
If you set your condition where Region=EMEA on a template, the system will display that template only if the contract manager selects EMEA in the region hierarchy when creating the contract. If they select any other region, that template will not appear.
Similarly, template questions help define project content added from a template during project creation. Questions used in combination with conditions make defining which conditions are set for a given project more user-friendly. Based on the answers to questions, the system includes the appropriate content in a new project created from a template.
In this lesson we focus on the conditions and questions typically found in contract workspaces and how they can be set to match business requirements.
