Monitoring Your Systems

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to identify the key SAP offerings that support operational monitoring for customers after go-live.

Why System Monitoring is Important

After the go-live of a system (Run Phase of SAP Activate), the goal is to establish safe and efficient operations to ensure business continuity. To achieve this, customers should engage in various monitoring activities to ensure the system operates smoothly and efficiently.

Key monitoring activities include:

  • Ensuring high-performance quality in all business processes.
  • Regularly reviewing system error logs to identify and address any issues promptly.
  • Checking for data consistency and integrity across the system(s).
  • Assessing the system's resource consumption to ensure it can handle future demands.
  • Continuously monitoring compliance with relevant security policies and regulations.

By diligently tracking these monitoring activities, customers can:

  • Ensure their system runs efficiently.
  • Address issues promptly.
  • Continuously align with business needs and regulatory requirements.

To assist in monitoring your systems properly, SAP offers various resources that can help with operational topics.
