Accessing Your SAP IBP System

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to perform the provisioning process to access the SAP IBP systems.

SAP IBP Provisioning Overview

System provisioning for SAP Integrated Business Planning for Supply Chain (SAP IBP) involves setting up all necessary environments and gaining access to them to begin project implementation.

Upon signing the SAP IBP subscription contract, the customer nominates a Technical Administrator, also known as the IT contact. This person will be designated as the S-user super administrator, granting them comprehensive administrative privileges. The provisioning process for SAP IBP can be initiated after the contract start date, at which point the customer can request their Test and Production tenants through SAP for Me.

List of tenants that a customer is entitled when and SAP IBP subscription is signed. Included an explanations on how the customer can get access to each system.

Note

Regardless of which authorized S-user performs the request in SAP for Me, only the IT contact can complete the provisioning process.

To change your IT contact, create a case via SAP for Me with component SCM-IBP-OPS-SRV.

First of all, an SAP Contract is signed and a Technical Administrator is entered (aka IT Contact). Then system are provisioned and the activation emails are sent to the IT Contact first. On customer side, the IT Contact is the contact that needs to logon into IBP system and SAP Cloud Identity Services.
