Connecting to an SAP System

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to connect to an SAP System.

SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform

Analysis for Office connects directly either to an SAP BusinessObjects BI platform, an SAP Business Warehouse (SAP BW) system or the SAP Analytics Cloud. Once you are connected to one of these systems, you can save workbooks to the system and access the data sources available to you using connections created on that system.

When you first insert a data source, you are prompted to connect to the SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform.

The figure shows the screenshot of the SAP BusinessObjects logon dialog.
