Instead of opening several applications and searching for the answer, the manager states what they need, and Joule brings the work to them.

Joule Work is a new engagement layer, not a renamed SAP Fiori launchpad. It shifts the experience from navigating applications to a user expressing an intent and having Joule bring together the information, actions, assistants, and agents needed to move the work forward.

Existing SAP entry points and applications continue to support the underlying navigation and execution.

Agentic Layer

Joule Assistants act like expert teammates aligned to specific business roles. They bring together the right context, workflows, and agents to help people achieve an outcome. Assistants are embedded in Autonomous Domains, activated via Joule Work, and provide the primary way users interact with Joule Agents.

Joule Agents perform specialized, multi-step tasks that support decisions and accelerate business workflows. They use SAP business process knowledge and securely grounded business data to reason, plan, and act across SAP and third-party systems. People direct the work, assistants coordinate it, and agents execute it.

Platform Layer

Joule Studio is the development environment for building and running AI agents, intelligent applications, automations, workflows, and workspaces.

It supports business users and professional developers while providing the governance, security, and business context needed to operate AI at enterprise scale. Joule Studio 2.0 is the next generation of SAP Build.

Transformation and Delivery Layer

Joule for Consultants supports functional and technical consultants throughout SAP implementation and transformation projects. It provides SAP-grounded guidance to help teams understand requirements, research processes, interpret existing solutions, resolve issues, and make decisions aligned with SAP best practices.

Joule for Developers brings AI assistance directly into development workflows. It helps developers understand, generate, test, remediate, and extend code and applications using SAP-specific development context.
