Introducing the Profile Worker Module

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to create a Profile Worker record in SAP Fieldglass and follow its workflow to completion.

Profile Worker

In addition to Contingent and SOW Workers, SAP Fieldglass accommodates a third type of worker, called Profile Workers. A Profile Worker is a specific type of worker who is considered non-transactional, which means they do not use Time Sheets, Expense Sheets, or any type of invoicing through the system. Since they do not have spend associated to them, companies will typically utilize the Profile Worker functionality for quick and easy headcount tracking, reporting, and managing onboarding and offboarding.

Workers tracked under this category are distinct from Contingent workers (a temporary worker who is directly managed by the buyer organization) and SOW Workers (a worker from a service provider who is completing a project, defined by a contract) in that there is no need for sourcing or invoicing transactions in the system, yet the buyer still wants visibility and oversight.

Watch the video to see why a company may need to engage with Profile Workers in SAP Fieldglass.
