After completing this lesson, you will be able to follow and unfollow suppliers in SAP Ariba Supplier Risk.

Purpose of Following Suppliers

In SAP Ariba Supplier Risk, following a supplier lets you receive alerts about them and view their risk information on the Supplier Risk dashboard. This keeps you informed of any events that could impact your strategic decisions or operations, allowing you to respond quickly.

When you follow a supplier, you're automatically subscribed to all alerts related to them. These alerts can include adverse media articles, risk incidents, and natural disasters. Certain views of the Supplier Risk dashboard indicate whether you are following a supplier with simple icons: a green check mark means you are following and receiving alerts for that supplier, while a red X means you are not.

Following or unfollowing suppliers helps you maintain control of the suppliers you monitor and prioritize those with higher risk profiles or those critical to your business needs.

How to Follow and Unfollow Suppliers

Use these steps to follow and unfollow suppliers in SAP Ariba Supplier Risk.

Steps

  1. On the Supplier Risk dashboard, perform one of the following actions:

    • Navigate to the search results page by choosing the Search icon.

      Note

      To perform a targeted search, enter a company name in the search bar before choosing the Search icon.
    • Navigate to the segmented view by choosing the All Suppliers link.

  2. Perform one of the following actions:

    • To start following one or more suppliers:

      Note

      Suppliers you are not yet following have a red X in the Follow column.
      1. Select the checkbox next to each supplier you want to start following.
      2. Choose Follow at the bottom of the page.
      3. In the Confirm Update popup, choose Follow to confirm you want to follow the selected suppliers.
    • To stop following one or more suppliers:

      Note

      Suppliers you are currently following have a green check mark in the Follow column.
      1. Select the checkbox next to each supplier you want to unfollow.
      2. Choose Unfollow at the bottom of the page.
      3. In the Confirm Update popup, choose Unfollow to confirm you want to unfollow the selected suppliers.

Result

When you follow a supplier, their risk information and related alerts will be displayed on your Supplier Risk dashboard, and you will automatically be subscribed to all alerts for these suppliers. When you unfollow a supplier, you will no longer see their risk information on your Supplier Risk dashboard or receive related alerts.
