Before starting, be sure to be familiar with the following basic concepts:
- Fair Use: See which resources in SAP Cloud ALM you're entitled to.
- Availability: Learn about the technical prerequisites of SAP Cloud ALM, the available system languages, regions (data centers), and EU and NS2 access.
- General Concepts: Learn about the basic concepts related to the setup and administration of SAP Cloud ALM.
The first slide shows the steps of the onboarding procedure:

- Requesting SAP Cloud ALM (SAP for Me): Submit the request to activate SAP Cloud ALM for your tenant.
- Onboard Users in SAP CIS (SAP Cloud Identity Services): Create or invite users and set up identities in SAP CIS so they can access ALM.
- Assign Roles to Users (SAP Cloud ALM): Grant appropriate SAP Cloud ALM roles and permissions to onboarded users.
- Set up Landscape Management (SAP Cloud ALM): Register/connect services/systems and define the managed landscape for monitoring and processes.
- Decision/Optional Integration (Several Applications): If needed, configure integrations and application-specific options for connected solutions.
