Reviewing the What's New Information in the 2H 2024 Release

The ability to run all the positions assigned to a specific Title in Per-Positions Mode is introduced. The option to run compensation and pay by title aligns better with how users visualize the system.

Users can now specify the position they want to run by specifying the Title in Run → Pipeline → Run Compensate Calculation → Position → Specific Title. The pipeline will then run all the positions that are assigned to the specified title.

The Optimized View mode is a new feature available in SAC that provides improved performance in loading dashboards and improved usability performance. The optimized story experience enables content within an SAP Analytics Cloud story to load faster.

Some of the individual improvements that are available in Optimized View Mode are View Time Undo/Redo, Ghost Loading Indicators, Tooltip Improvements, Level-Based Navigation with Data Path Tooltip, and more. To create a new story with the Optimized Design mode, choose Optimized Design Experience as the Design Mode.

Existing stories that have been built in Classic mode based on standard models or custom models will remain as is. To convert a Class mode story to Optimized Design Experience, complete the following steps below:

1. Open on an existing story.
2. Switch to Edit mode.
3. From the File menu, select Convert to Optimized Design Experience.
   Note

   A popup window opens and displays features that will be permanently lost (unsupported or deprecated features) or blocking features that will prevent you from converting your story as shown.
4. Choose Convert. The story is converted to Optimized Design Experience.
   Note

   Since the Optimized Design Experience (ODE) conversion is permanent, we recommend that you make a copy of the original story before you complete the ODE conversion process on the original. If all functionality is available in the ODE converted story, you can delete the original copy of story.

In Modeling → Run Models, an option to run 'Modeled plan only' is provided. This update helps users quickly analyze specific scenarios without unnecessary processing.
