SAP SuccessFactors has announced planned retirements of the older reporting solutions. Based on customer feedback, functional gaps, and internal review, SAP SuccessFactors has the following plans as of the 1H 2025 release:
- Tiles & Dashboards will be retired at some point in the future, and SAP SuccessFactors will announce the new timeline as soon as it is available.
- Table and Canvas reports have no retirement date and do not intend to announce a new date. For Table and Canvas use cases, please review our Frequently Asked Questions document for recommendations on how to proceed.
It's recommended that all new reports be created as Story reports.
Current information about the retirement announcements can be found in the SAP Community, within the Product and Customer Updates section (requires authentication): https://community.sap.com/t5/product-and-customer-updates/retirement-of-canvas-table-tiles-dashboards-and-classic-report-types/ba-p/13619483.
Validate the following before enabling Table Report Builder:
- Role-Based Permissions is enabled in Provisioning
- The instance Core Modules is configured and working correctly
- Module-specific features are enabled for the appropriate sub domain schemas (SDS)
Data Models
The Table Reporting solution uses the following information in the data models:
- Table Reporting uses the data models, for example, Employee Central, to generate the data for reporting.
- Table Reporting only reports on objects/tables and entities/columns that are defined in the data models.
The data models are available in Provisioning→Select company→Succession Management.
There are four main data models and the union of the content in all four data models is used to generate the data for reporting:
- Succession/Standard Data Model
- Succession/Standard Data Model - Country Specific
- Corporate Data Model
- Corporate Data Model - Country Specific
Note
If an object/entity is defined as Visibility=None in the data model, then it is hidden in Table Reporting and not available for reporting. The labels defined for object/entities in the data model are reflected as the labels shown in Table Reporting.
