Setting up Date Ranges

To assign the date range to a tile-based dashboard, complete the following steps:

1. Edit the tile-based dashboard.
2. Select Date Filters.
3. Select Enable Date Filter.
4. Select the date range that you want to apply.
5. Choose if report consumers can select their own dates.
6. Choose the Reporting Domain and columns to which the date range should apply.
7. Save the dashboard .

To assign a date range to a tile, complete the following steps:

2. Select Date Filters.
3. Select Enable Date Filter.
4. Select the date range that you want to apply.

7. Save the tile.

To assign the date range to a standard dashboard, complete the following steps:

1. Edit the standard dashboard.
2. Confirm you are on the General Info tab.
3. Select Enable Date Filter.
4. Select the date range that you want to apply.
5. Choose if report consumers can select their own dates.
6. Choose the Reporting Domain and columns to which the date range should apply.
7. Save the tile.

To apply a date range when you are viewing the tile or dashboard, complete the following steps:

1. Open the filter panel on the tile or dashboard.
2. If necessary, choose more to display the date range.
3. Select the appropriate date range.
4. Choose Apply Filters.

• Administrators use the Manage Date Ranges tool within Manage Dashboards to create predefined time periods for reporting.
• Predefined ranges like review processes or fiscal quarters help managers filter data without knowing specific start and end dates.
• Each date range requires a unique name, specific labels for selectable ranges, and defined "Date From" and "Date To" values.
• Setting these ranges ensures consistency across tiles and dashboards, though they cannot be managed directly in the Report Center.
