System email notification templates automate the process of composing email messages that are sent to users such as candidates, hiring managers, and recruiters. Using email notification templates reduces the likelihood of mistakes and ensures a consistent message is conveyed to all applicants.
Email notifications are automatically sent to employees every time a specified event or change occurs, such as when a form becomes available or is overdue. You can specify which notifications employees receive. For example, you can send a welcome message to all new employees.
Email notifications consist of the email subject, notification text, and, optionally, signature text. The signature can be added at the bottom of every email and typically includes contact or company information, but can be any message you want.
SAP SuccessFactors provides the text for all email notifications. You can modify the text of many, but not all, email notifications. For example, you can modify the content of late notices, but not of system progress notifications.
Use checkboxes to select and clear email notifications. Email notifications with a check next to them are sent to users when the related action occurs. Checkboxes that are grayed out are always enabled and cannot be cleared, but the text can still be customized.
To access the standard notifications, navigate to Admin Center→Company Settings→E-mail Notification Template Settings.
Within the E-mail Notification area of Admin Center, there are Recruiting-specific notification templates of the following types:
- Notifications that are shared with other modules; for example, Routing Notification.
- Notifications that are pre-defined for Recruiting; for example, Candidate Alerts.
- Notifications that are always enabled; for example, Administrator notifications for import and exports.
