Search for Talents by Skills from Talent Intelligence Hub

Overview of the change

In addition to competencies, users can now add skills as search criteria in Talent Search. The skill or competency ratings that users can choose from are based on a preconfigured rating scale from Talent Intelligence Hub.

As Talent Search now supports two types of attributes, the term "competency" on the UI has been replaced by "attribute" where applicable. For example, we changed the dropdown menu label to Ratings & Attributes and the search field label to Attributes…as shown in the screenshot below.

How it Looks Now

Note
Behaviors are not supported as search criteria in Talent Search under the Talent Intelligence Hub framework.

We developed this feature to deliver a more consistent and relevant experience for users who have migrated to Talent Intelligence Hub

Configuration Requirements

After you've migrated to Talent Intelligence Hub, in Talent Search Settings, your configurations are as follows:

  • Show Attributes is selected.
  • A rating scale is selected from the dropdown list for All Attributes.
Note
  • The rating scale that you selected for All Competencies isn't kept forAll Attributes. By default, there's no rating scale selected.
  • To add or edit a rating scale, go toManage Talent Intelligence HubProficiency SettingsRating Scale . For more information, refer to Configuring the Proficiency Level Scale in the Related Information section.

Role-Based Permission Prerequisites

  • You have theAdministratorManage System PropertiesTalent Search Management permission.
  • Users have permission for the Attribute field under User PermissionsTalent Search FieldRatings .

Emergency Covers for a Position or Talent Pool

Overview of the change

As an administrator, you can now enable succession planners to label nominees as emergency covers for a position or a talent pool. An emergency cover is an employee who, in case of emergency, can temporarily take over a position or fill the role defined by a talent pool.

With this feature enabled, a field called Emergency Cover is available when a succession planner adds or edits a nomination on a position card, or when they add or edit a talent pool nomination.

Below are the screenshots of how this feature looks like on the position card and the Succession Org Chart. The icon is displayed next to the readiness rating to indicate an emergency cover.

How it Looks Now

Note

A nominee's emergency cover value is independent from their readiness rating. For example, an emergency cover for a position can be someone whose readiness rating is Ready in 2-3 Years or Ready Now.

We developed this feature so that succession planners can manage employees as backups as well as long-term candidates. This feature is from a Customer Community Idea.

Configuration Requirements

  • You're using the MDF position-based nomination method.

  • You've enabled MDF Talent Pools and defined the MDF Talent Pool Object.

Redesigned Experience of Manage Support Access

Overview of the change

We redesigned the user interface of the Manage Support Access tool for you to better manage support access.

Here are the details:

BeforeAfter
You couldn't check RBP administrator access of support accounts. You can check the RBP administrator access of support accounts, and further restrict the RBP administrator access of support accounts.
After you chose Search Users, you could see all users who met your searching criteria, including valid and expired support accounts. If you wanted to see only valid support accounts, you had to choose the option Show Users with Valid Support Access. The valid and invalid support accounts are now listed in two separate tabs:Valid List and Expired List . Note that only valid and expired support accounts are listed in the two tabs.
If you didn’t set an expiration date for a support account, the date was automatically shown as 9999.When you grant support access to an account, you must set an expiration date. The validity period can't exceed 2 years.
When you granted support access to an account and selected a past date as the expiration date, there was no validation. You can't select a past date as the expiration date.

The new Manage Support Access tool has streamlined the processes that you follow to manage support access.

Horizon Visual Theme Automatically On in All Systems

Overview of the change

We've turned on the Horizon visual theme automatically for all customers and removed the option to turn it off.

The Horizon theme is now the standard base theme for the HXM Suite. The option to disable it has been removed from the Company System and Logo Settings page.

Note

The Horizon visual theme is available on the most commonly used pages in the HXM Suite, so most users have a consistent user experience. However, older styling is still used on some pages, including most ofAdmin Center. We continue to update the visual styling on more pages over time. In 2H 2023, we added support for the Horizon theme in:

  • SAP SuccessFactors Compensation

  • SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting

  • Additional pages in product areas that already supported Horizon in most places: Calibration, Employee Central Workflows, Mentoring, and Talent Cards.

The Horizon visual theme is the latest evolution of SAP Fiori and the latest standard for all SAP applications. SAP SuccessFactors is adopting it so that we can deliver a user experience that's modern, engaging, and consistent.

Configuration Requirements

  • If you use a custom theme, we recommend testing it thoroughly on commonly used pages. Although custom theme settings aren’t affected and the colors in your theme are still used in most places, some UI elements use theme settings differently when Horizon is enabled. As a result, some UI elements change color. For example:
    • Some UI elements that previously could have their color defined in a custom theme can no longer be customized.
    • Some UI elements that previously couldn't be customized can now have their color defined in a custom theme.
    • Some UI elements now have their color defined by different theme setting than they did previously.
  • Changes to typography, visual treatment, and spacing have an impact on the overall layout and location of elements on the page. If you run automated tests that are based onscreen coordinates, they may be impacted by the Horizon theme.
