Reviewing SAP SuccessFactors Succession Management 2H 2024 Stay Certified Information

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to describe the new features and enhancements of Succession Management

Simplified Experience of Nominating Talent Pool Members to a Position

Overview of the change

For a position associated with talent pools, succession planners can now add successors directly from the talent pool sections on the position card in the Succession Org Chart or the Position Tile view.

Here are screenshots of this workflow. The one on the left shows a position card with the "AI Experts" talent pool section opened. When the user selects the + (Add as successor) button for a member of this talent pool, the Named Successors section expands to allow them to provide more information before nominating the employee to the position.

Previously, while working with a position card, the user had to navigate to the employee's talent card and start nomination from scratch, including searching for the position.

This feature has streamlined the way to add successors from talent pools in the Succession Org Chart or the Position Tile view

Full Profile of the Latest People Profile

Overview of the change

The latest People Profile now comes with Full Profile, a revamped data hub that consolidates all kinds of data for an employee in one single place.

With Full Profile, you access employees' data through organized cards, each providing a snapshot of specific information. These cards are grouped into predefined categories for easy navigation, and from a card, you can also access a detailed view of each piece of information. In addition to predefined cards and categories, administrators can configure custom cards, and then organize them into custom categories. You can access Full Profile:

  • By searching for someone in the global page header.

  • By choosing the Full Profile icon on Profile Preview

  • By choosing the Full Profile option on the Spotlight.

  • By selecting the People Profile option from the main navigation menu in the global page header.

Note

In the latest People Profile experience, Full Profile cards are now available only in View mode. To edit data or access the History UI, users will be redirected to the legacy experience. If you are currently updating Talent field data or the Succession and Nomination portlets through the People Profile, do not upgrade to the latest People Profile yet. These blocks/portlets either do not migrate or cannot be edited.

Here's a list of Full Profile predefined Time Management categories and custom cards.

These cards are grouped into predefined categories, such as Personal Data, Job Data, and Compensation, displayed in the left pane for easy navigation. Cards provide access to their details UI, where a comprehensive view of information is presented.

How it Looked Before

The legacy People Profile was a one-pager that organizes an employee's data into blocks.
