SAP Certification retirements - FAQ

1

What does it mean when you say my SAP certification is retired?

If an SAP Certification has been or will be retired, learners will no longer be able to book the certification exam or do an assessment to stay certified after the retirement date. All learners who have a valid certificate on the retirement date will receive an additional 12-month validity from the retirement date until their certificate expires. That means for a certification with a retirement date of June 30, 2025, all valid certificates at this date will automatically stay valid until June 30, 2026, without the need to complete another assessment to stay certified.

Understanding the significance of your SAP Certification and how this tangible validation of specific skills and expertise bolsters your credibility and qualifications, please be assured that we are dedicated to working with you and will offer recommendations on successor or alternative pathways in our SAP Certification portfolio to help you stay certified with the latest SAP solutions whenever possible.

2

If you do not complete the stay certified assessment, or the recommended successor certification before the expiry date, you will no longer be certified.
To regain certification, you will need to complete a full SAP Certification exam.
We want to help you navigate this process smoothly, and to keep you informed, SAP will proactively communicate through emails. We encourage you to regularly ‘My Activity’ status updates on the redesigned SAP Learning Hub to avoid any risk of certification lapse.

3

Will there be updates about the status of my SAP Certifications and reminders of expiry dates?

Personalized communication via e-mail notifications will keep you informed about your certification status and expiry dates, as well as the next steps you will need to take. An automated email will be sent two weeks and the day before your certification expires.

You can also check your ‘My Learning’ personalized dashboard in SAP Learning Hub for status updates and  the
SAP Certification portfolio page for the latest certification information.

How long will the certifications be valid after retirement?
