Enabling notifications on SAP Learning

This step-by-step guide will help you enable notifications and keep you informed of important updates, such as time alerts during your certification exams.

Chrome on Windows

  1. Open Chrome and go to learning.sap.com
  2.  Click the settings icon (or the info icon) to the left of the URL in the address bar, then select Site settings.

3. Under Privacy and Security, find Notifications and change the setting from Block to Allow.

4. Reload the page to apply the new permissions.

5. Open Windows Settings and select System

Chrome on macOS

  1. Open Chrome and go to learning.sap.com
  2. Click the settings icon (or the info icon) to the left of the URL in the address bar, then select Site settings.

3. Under Privacy and Security, find Notifications and change the setting from Block to Allow.

4. Reload the page to apply the new permissions.

5. Open System Settings (or System Preferences on older macOS versions), then go to Notifications and select App Notifications.

6. Find Google Chrome in the list and click on it and toggle Allow Notifications to On.

7. Ensure Focus (or Do Not Disturb) is turned off to allow notifications to appear.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox and click the application menu (three horizontal lines)
  2. Choose Settings. 
  3. Select Privacy & Security
  4. Scroll to Permissions
  5. Next to Notifications, select Settings. 
  6. Locate learning.sap.com and set the status to Allow (or add it manually if not listed). 
  7. Click the Save Changes button.

Troubleshooting

If notifications are not working after following the steps above: 

  1. Reload the page after changing permissions.
  2. Clear the browser cache, close the browser completely, and reopen it.
  3. Check that your operating system notification settings are not blocking the browser. 
  4. Confirm that Focus Assist (Windows) or Focus / Do Not Disturb (macOS) is turned off.
