How can I prepare for certification exams?
You can continue to prepare for exams like before, with the following resources:
The SAP Learning site is the go-to webpage for access to free self-paced learning content to build in-demand SAP skills.
- Additionally, SAP Learning Hub offers guided learning resources, including practice systems, expert-led live sessions, four certification exam attempts per year, and short, non-proctored quizzes that test only delta knowledge in order to stay certified (subscription required).
- SAP Community is where the ecosystem comes together to get help, share ideas, learn, innovate, and connect with others.
- SAP Learning help center provides how-to guides, troubleshooting tips, and FAQs to help improve your learner experience.
Do I need to complete all learning courses before taking a practical certification exam?
It is not a mandatory requirement to complete all learning journey courses and practical exercises before attempting a certification exam, but it is highly recommended.
How long does a practical exam take?
Each certification includes a few tasks designed to be completed within a set timeframe, typically two to three hours per assessment. The total duration may vary depending on the role and complexity of the scenario.
Will practical exams be proctored?
No. SAP is introducing non-proctored certification exams using technical validation (SAP Universal ID) rather than live proctoring. This reflects how professionals work in real life – with access to SAP tools and resources, without monitoring – while maintaining exam integrity.
What resources can candidates use during a practical exam?
You may access publicly available SAP resources such as the SAP Help Portal, SAP Learning site, and, where applicable, SAP Joule for Consultants and other AI tools. This mirrors actual project conditions where professionals collaborate and use resources to solve problems.
How are practical exams scored?
- For system-based exams, results are based on the successful completion of defined tasks and system outputs, reviewed automatically or via evaluation scripts.
- For scenario-based exams, an AI model assists in assessing the accuracy, completeness, and efficiency of responses. For video uploads, SAP experts will manually score the video according to a predefined scoring logic. Uploaded videos are retained for 3 months before being permanently deleted.
What should I do if I experience technical issues during my exam?
If you encounter a technical issue that prevents you from completing your tasks, create a case on the SAP Certification support page. Include a detailed description of the issue, the steps that led to it, and screenshots where possible. After reviewing, if the issue is confirmed as a system-related error, a new attempt may be granted.
Is it possible to choose the types of the exam?
It is not possible to choose the type of exam. You can check the certification details to determine which type of assessment is required for certification. The assessment may be system-based, scenario-based, or a combination of both. We recommend checking carefully which type of assessment applies before starting the exam.
What accessibility options are available for my exam?
Since this exam is open-book and unproctored, you do not need to submit special requests to use accessibility accommodations such as screen readers or assistance from another person.
If you require further assistance due to a disability, please create a case.
