Launch of a new version of SAP Learning Hub analytics dashboard
Effective June 30th, a new version of the SAP Learning Hub analytics dashboard has been launched and set as the default experience. This major release delivers substantial enhancements in performance, usability, and reporting capabilities to empower your learning analysis.
Some of the key improvements and highlights in the new version include:
Unified data access: Seamless integration of data from both the SAP Learning Site and the SAP Learning Hub Content Library, enabling consolidated analysis and comprehensive reporting.
- Performance optimization: Improved dashboard load and export times for a faster, more efficient user experience.
Enhanced data exploration and export: Enhanced options for exploring and downloading learning activity and certification data. Default table structures and filter options have been redesigned for simplicity and clarity, including several predefined export formats for certification data.
Improved user experience & visualizations:
- Introduction of new interactive charts and visualizations.
- The Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) section now displays estimated hours, replacing the number of items for clearer measurement.
- “Active Learners” and “Average Hours Spent per Learner” are now combined into a single, comprehensive chart.
- Enhanced Learning Achievements page that brings together Certifications, Stay Certified details, and Records of Achievement.
Advanced filtering: New page filters available by solution area, country/region, and learning format.
- Learner grouping via Custom Fields: When using self-service SAP Learning license management is leveraged, enhanced learner grouping by four custom fields is available, supporting improved organization and reporting.
- KPI accuracy improvement: Enhanced logic for calculating Pass Rate, Estimated Hours, Number of Accessed Learning Formats (e.g. Learning Journeys), and Compliant UID delivers more precise analytics.
- Updated Learning Type status logic: A learning journey or course will remain "In Progress" until all its required components (such as lessons and quizzes) are completed. Once they are finished their status will be “Completed”.
- Country /region update: Country/region relation will be regularly refreshed according to latest SAP grouping, which may impact comparison with historical reporting.
- Removal of “Time Spent” field: in the new dashboard this metric is no longer available due to inconsistencies and limitations in how time is tracked across various learning types and platforms (SAP Learning Site and SAP Learning Hub Content Library).
The previous version of the dashboard will remain accessible until September 30th, after which it will be retired and no longer available.

Certification data update: Certificates from deleted S-users are excluded
The learning analytics dashboard has been updated to enhance the accuracy and reliability of certification data by excluding certifications linked to deactivated and deleted S-user accounts. This ensures that only learners with valid S-user accounts are reflected in the dashboard.
As a result of this update, customers may notice a decrease in individual counts/KPIs for certified learners.
New field: SAP S-user status (Certification data explorer and downloads)
Learning managers can use the SAP S-user status field to identify learners in the expired phase and are at risk of getting deleted in the next months. When an S-user is deleted, the certificates of the corresponding user will be removed from the analytics dashboard. However, certification activities such as exam attempts will be still visible in the ‘Explore Data’ and ‘Certifications Data’ Download sections.
The field supports the following values:
- Active: The S-user status is active and not at risk of being deleted.
- Expired: The S-user has expired and is at risk of being deleted in the next three months.
- Deleted: The S-user ID is deleted and will be unable to be reactivated.
For more information about the S-user lifecycle and how to avoid deletion please read more information on SAP’s official S-user Lifetime.
Improvement of ‘Last Assessment Date’ dimension
Previously, the "Last Assessment Date" column displayed the date of the base certification, even if a more recent delta certification had been completed.
With this update, the "Last Assessment Date" now accurately reflects the date of your most recent assessment, whether it's the initial base certification or a subsequent delta. This improvement ensures you have the most up-to-date information regarding your certification status and upcoming renewal deadlines. The "Due Bucket Date" calculation has been adjusted to reflect this change, providing a more accurate projection of when your next assessment is due.
Update to New Certificates Calculation
We’ve improved the accuracy of the “New Certificates” measure. Previously, the “Net New Certificates” KPI counted the first certification attempt, even if it was not passed. This sometimes resulted in certificates being shown in the wrong month or time range. Now, only certificates where the exam result is “Passed” are included, ensuring certificates are counted in the correct month when they are actually earned. You may notice a small change in certificate counts or timing in the dashboard as a result.
Update to Country-Region Grouping
We’ve updated how countries are assigned to regions on both the Learning Activities and Certifications pages. Previously, the pages used different groupings, but they are now aligned and based on a single, updated list. As a result, you may see new region names or some countries appearing under different regions than before. This change improves consistency and ensures region data is current across the dashboard.
