Increased number of Valid Certificates and Certified Learners due to extended validity

Due to a technical issue with our notification service, some scheduled reminder emails regarding upcoming certification expiry dates were not sent as expected. While the issue has since been resolved, it may have caused some learners to miss their Stay Certified assessment deadlineTo support learners in maintaining their certification status, all impacted certificates have been extended to 31st of July, 2026. As a result, you may have noticed a significant increase of the Valid Certificates and Certified Learners during the third week of May when the extension was applied

If you would like to identify the impacted learners and certificates, in the SAP Learning Hub analytics dashboard:

  • Navigate to the Certifications view of the Explore and Export Data section.
  • Make sure that the Activity Date Range includes the full time scope and extend the default filter criteria by adding Expiration Date > Filter by Member = ‘2026-07-31’ as shown in the figure below:

  • The result list will show all learners with certificates expiring by the end of July. The applied filter criteria may include also users whose certificates were originally expiring at the end of July, but the most will be those with extended certificates.
  • Further analysis can be done based on the First Cert Date.

Improved accuracy for Consumed Certification Attempts

We’ve improved how Consumed Certification Attempts is calculated for learners with an active SAP Learning Hub license. From now on, only certification attempts used under the active license will be considered in the calculation. This allows you to better track how many attempts a learner has consumed and how actively they are leveraging their license. Any attempt granted through the support process, will also be included in the calculation.

For learners with expired SAP Learning Hub license, the previous calculation logic remains in place – all attempts across historical licenses will continue to be included in the scope.
