Introduction to RISE with SAP Migration and Modernization

RISE with SAP Migration and Modernization offers a range of digital self-service tools and employee-supported services to help companies migrate to SAP S/4HANA Cloud – regardless of whether they are using SAP ECC or already have SAP S/4HANA on-premise. In addition to these support services, financial incentives are also intended to make the transition to cloud ERP more attractive and facilitate the decision to move.

The objective is to reduce costs and accelerate time to value for our customers with migration and adoption acceleration credits.

The Transformation Incentive is a program designed to help both SAP S/4HANA on premise and SAP ECC customers to move to RISE. This is done through a combination of compelling financial incentives, specific tools and services, expert advice and leveraging the ecosystem to help accelerate our customers journey to a modern cloud ERP.

In 2024, all SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA on premise customers who use the Cloud Extension Program to move to RISE or GROW with SAP are eligible for the transformation incentive.


The incentive includes:

  • Transformation / Conversion Cost Mitigation: Reduce the customer’s expense outlay for the cloud service during the move to RISE with SAP.
  • Time and Cost: These are the most common barriers for many customers. The fund is designed to reduce expense of paying future maintenance invoices while paying the subscription fee at the same time.
  • Safeguard: SAP S/4HANA on premise customers can use SAP Services credit towards invoice issued for newly contracted specific transformation services to safeguard success of the transformation. Those include services for transition, sandbox infrastructure for the update, upgrade or greenfield implementation services, and notes or corrections to provide business continuity by mitigating the limitations of customer specific maintenance (CSM).
  • Unlocking Innovations: Facilitate access to specific innovations available through RISE with SAP.
