Scheduling Agreement Transaction Rules

SAP Business Network Supply Chain Collaboration provides buyers with a number of scheduling agreement release rules. These are available under the Scheduling Agreement Release Setup Rules section of the default transaction rules in the SAP Business Network buyer account.

The following table describes the scheduling agreement release rules that are available for buyers:

These are not default settings and default settings do not apply to "Allow suppliers to use only planning for shipping".

Allow scheduling agreement collaboration
  • Allows the buyer to send scheduling agreement documents for collaboration with suppliers.
  • Allows suppliers who are enabled for supply chain collaboration functionality to create ship notices from scheduling agreements.
Allow scheduling agreement release collaboration
  • Allows the buyer to send scheduling agreement release documents for collaboration with suppliers.
  • Allows suppliers who are enabled for supply chain collaboration functionality to create ship notices from scheduling agreement releases.
Allow suppliers to use only Just In Time (JIT) for shipping
  • For suppliers that have both JIT and Planning release capability, to limit suppliers to using JIT for shipping, select this rule.

This rule is only visible when the Allow scheduling agreement release collaboration rule is selected.
Allow Suppliers to use only planning for shipping

  • For suppliers that have both JIT and Planning release capability, to limit suppliers to using Planning for shipping, select this rule.

Note

This rule is only visible when the Allow scheduling agreement release collaboration rule is selected.
Allow suppliers to send order confirmations for scheduling agreements and scheduling agreement releases
  • Allows suppliers to confirm scheduling agreements and scheduling agreement releases.
  • Suppliers can only confirm Firm schedule lines.

  • Rules related to purchase order confirmation also apply to scheduling agreements and scheduling agreement releases.

Note

This rule can be enabled only when the Allow scheduling agreement collaboration rule, the Allow scheduling agreement release collaboration rule, or both, are checked. This rule also requires that the Allow suppliers to send order confirmations for material orders at the line-item level rule is checked.
