Analysis for Office connects directly either to a SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform or to a SAP Business Warehouse (BW) system. Once you are connected to one of the two systems, you can save workbooks to the system and access the data sources available to you using connections to them created on that system.
When you first insert a data source, you are prompted to connect to the SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform.
If you do not use a SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform, you can choose Skip and connect to a SAP BW system.
