Welcome to the course! Complete this lesson to gain valuable hands-on experience during the learning journey. Please note that while it's not mandatory to book a learning system to complete the learning journey, it is highly recommended. This is because gaining hands-on experience can significantly enhance your understanding of the learning material.
A hands-on exercise is available for most of the units (Security, Orders, CronJobs, Workflows, Validation, and WCMS). All the exercise materials are accessible in the preconfigured exercise environment on the SAP Practice System server. The blog post Hands-on Practice Systems: Your Path to Mastering SAP Commerce Cloudcontains the information you’ll need to find/book a learning system.
Remember to search for C4H34I to find the Practice System entry for this course. After booking the learning system, follow the instructions in the related system setup guide (the SSG, available in the resource list of each Practice System entry) to log in to the exercise environment server.
Locate the folder c4h34i_2211 in your home directory. Within this folder, you’ll find these three subfolders.
The Exercises folder contains a PDF file for each exercise, which can be performed as you finish the corresponding unit in your learning journey.
The eclipse-bundle folder contains a preconfigured eclipse IDE for development.
The workspace folder contains the SAP Commerce Cloud system resources.
Before you begin the exercises, watch the following video that provides a basic understanding of the exercise setup.
Note that the ZIP file mentioned in the video is not publicly accessible. Its contents have been unzipped and are readily available in our Practice System training environment where all the necessary components for your development are prearranged.
Once you've grasped the basics of performing the exercises, complete the Exercise Class Setup found in the Exercises folder.

This minor difference is inconsequential and can be disregarded, as all other resources remain identical.
Remember to follow the exercise instructions in the Class Setup Exercise PDF step-by-step. The demo video highlights the main steps, serving as a good guide. However, make sure to perform actions like running the "archive" ant target to backup your completed installation, as per the setup exercise.
