Data can be imported in Integrated Business Planning by using files, which are uploaded using the Integrated Business Planning Web client or a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) client.
SAP Cloud Integration for Data Services (CI-DS):
This is a cloud-based data integration solution that is bundled with SAP IBP offering. It enables a direct extraction from the on-premise SAP ERP and SAP HANA into the IBP SAP HANA database in the cloud. You should install and configure add-ons on the source system and perform basic configuration. Standard extractors are available for a number of objects, as well as, data integration content can be further tailored to a company’s specific requirements.
SAP Cloud Integration (CI):
SAP Cloud Integration (CI) enables a direct extraction from the SAP S/4HANA Cloud public edition.
SAP IBP, add-in for Microsoft Excel and Fiori app:
A user that has the correct permissions assigned via a role can maintain and create data directly in the planning view or by choosing Master Data → Manage, or by using a Fiori app Manage Master Data.
RTI:
RTI is the integration tool for order-based planning characterized by almost real time integration from source to target system via asynchronous functions. It uses the same integration technology bgRFC for all source systems (multiple systems can be connected to SAP IBP). RTI supports transactionally consistent data integration. It enables the push from source system to target system by direct data capturing in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA. Supports monitoring, extensibility, filtering. It does not require Add-ons.
