Maintaining Parameters

Maintaining parameters refers to the process of configuring and managing various settings that control the behavior and functionality of the master data export. These parameters are customer-specific. There are three parameters that apply to the common configuration for master data integration.

To maintain parameters for more than one SAP Ariba solution, follow these steps:

Using the transaction code SPRO, navigate to Integration with Other SAP Components>Managed Gateway for Spend&Network>Master Data Integration>General Settings>Maintain Parameters.
Expand the Maintain Parameters section and choose the IMG-Activity for Cross Application.
Choose Modify.
Input the values in the following fields as appropriate. Refer to the table provided for guidance.
- Variable Name
- Field Name
- Number
- Variant
- Partition
- Low
Once all the necessary parameters are maintained, choose Save.

Set this parameter to specify how long the object key will be locked by the Ariba Incremental Master Data Extracts program.	Variable Name: CHANGEDOC_WAIT_TIMEINSEC Field Name: Leave blank. Number: 0000 Variant: The unique variant name for the SAP Ariba Procurement or SAP Sourcing solutions defined in the SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA on-premise (for example, VREALM_2). Partition: The unique site name for the SAP Ariba Procurement or SAP Ariba Sourcing solutions defined in the SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA on-premise (for example, PREALM_2). LANGUAGE	Applicable for SAP Ariba Procurement solutions and SAP Ariba Sourcing. Set this parameter to display descriptions in languages other than English. Leave it blank to display the descriptions in English.	Variable Name: LANGUAGE Field Name: Leave blank. Number: 0000 Variant: The unique variant name for the SAP Ariba Procurement solutions or SAP Ariba Sourcing in SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA on-premise (for example, VREALM_2). Partition: The unique site name for SAP Ariba Procurement solutions or SAP Ariba Sourcing in SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA on-premise (for example PREALM_2). Low: For example, DE
TEMP_DIRECTORY	Applicable for SAP Ariba Procurement solutions and SAP Ariba Sourcing. This is a mandatory field, but not for test run. Set this parameter to specify the temporary filepath in the application server to save CSV files. When you execute the master data, the CSV files are zipped and sent to SAP Ariba Procurement solutions from this location.	Variable Name: LANGUAGE Field Name: Leave blank. Number: 0000 Variant: The unique variant name for the SAP Ariba Procurement solutions or SAP Ariba Sourcing in SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA on-premise (for example, VREALM_2).
